What a wonderful, beautiful, sunny San Diego spring day! And to top it off, a trip to Point Loma Seafood and their brand new place!!
I’ve raved about Point Loma Seafood previously; loved eating outside enjoying the view (which hasn’t changed) but with the new building (they literally tore down the old one and built a new, double decker) is bigger and better than ever! When I walked in the front door, it was the same but better, the same but bigger, the same but shinier, the same but glossier, the same but fresher.
The ceiling, with a new two story feeling, is amazing. The fish cabinets are bigger and longer and I’m sure there is more fish. The waiting area is larger, so you have more room to mill around. The things that are the same – you still stand in line to order at the counter from one of the many knowledgeable guys to take your order, they still only take cash, and the seafood is still fabulous!
I had the lobster sushi, my friends had shrimp/crab sandwiches, shrimp sandwiches, fish and chips – just all kinds of deliciousness. My group of six sat quietly devouring every last morsel of fresh, fishy delightfulness.
So the next time you are in Point Loma, stop by Point Loma Seafood. Tell them Holly’s Diner sent you!
